St. Thomas Aquinas College invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Mathematics to begin September 2027 (or earlier by mutual agreement). Located in the School of STEM, this position will play a central role in supporting mathematics education across the College, including the Mathematics major, General Education curriculum, and programs in Mathematics Education. The successful candidate will teach a broad range of undergraduate mathematics courses, with a particular emphasis on introductory and General Education mathematics, as well as upper-level courses aligned with their area of expertise. The College welcomes candidates from any mathematical specialty who demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and the ability to engage students with a wide range of mathematical backgrounds and career goals. Candidates with interests in applied mathematics, statistics, data science, mathematics education, or other areas that complement existing STEM programs are especially encouraged to apply. The College seeks a teacher-scholar committed to high-quality undergraduate education, curriculum development, and student mentorship. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide leadership in mathematics curriculum and assessment across the College and to help shape the future direction of mathematics at St. Thomas Aquinas College. Faculty responsibilities include a 24-credit teaching load per year, student advising, curriculum development and assessment, and service to the College. Opportunities exist to develop new courses, contribute to interdisciplinary STEM initiatives, and engage students in research or other scholarly and applied experiences. A PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education with substantial graduate-level mathematics preparation, or a closely related field is required by the start date of the appointment. The salary range for this position is $64,000-$66,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
