Position Description:
The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU- HCOM ) is seeking an Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine ( OMM ) physician for a part-time (16 hours per week) faculty teaching position at the Athens, Ohio campus. Applicants should possess a strong desire to teach and advise osteopathic medical students within the curriculum and contribute to the success of the Heritage College and its campuses through teaching and service. Candidates must have outstanding interpersonal skills to relate to a diverse faculty, staff, students and community members. The successful applicant will have special interest and qualifications in the practice and teaching of osteopathic principles and manipulative medicine.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver curricular and other scholarly activities. Teach the clinical application of osteopathic principles and manipulative medicine in ambulatory and hospital-based practices. Participate in the ongoing programs and program development of the Department of OMM including pre- and postdoctoral training and other scholarly activities as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an American Osteopathic Association (AOA)-approved osteopathic college Satisfactory completion of an AOA-approved internship and AOA-approved residency program Board eligible for or board certified by the AOA An active medical license in good standing by a state medical board or credentials allowing the same
