Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center (EOC Tech) is seeking an experienced construction professional to serve as a part-time instructor for our new ACD Construction Management Academy. The instructor will provide practical, hands-on training to adults pursuing careers or advancement in construction management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Help develop curriculum, course content, and hands-on learning activities Teach evening, short-term construction management courses Provide practical, industry-based instruction Use real-world examples, construction documents, and hands-on activities Support students in developing skills needed for construction management careers Collaborate with EOC Tech and local industry partners Keep course content current with industry practices and technology A degree is not required. Relevant industry experience and demonstrated knowledge may substitute for formal education. Minimum Qualifications OSHA 30 Construction certification 5+ years of experience in construction management, supervision, project management, estimating, or a related field Experience working on commercial construction projects Strong knowledge of construction practices and project coordination Ability to communicate effectively and work with adult learners Preferred Qualifications Experience with one or more of the following: Construction estimating and takeoffs Project scheduling Procore, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts Jobsite supervision and leadership Construction technology and digital tools
