Qualifications and Background:
Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Experience or enthusiasm for working in school settings, especially supporting K-5 populations Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt therapy approaches to varied learning needs and environments Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and student-centered atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy to K-5 students, both individually and in small groups Evaluate students using formal and informal assessment tools to determine strengths and areas for growth Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports as required by the school and district Consult regularly with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary team decisions Promote generalization of communication skills across school settings This contract SLP opportunity is an excellent fit for those eager to inspire creativity and communication in elementary-age students.
