Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Instructor/Assistant/Associate Professor for the School of Nursing to join our esteemed academic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge education, clinical training, and research across diverse medical and health science disciplines. The successful candidate will provide classroom, clinical and college laboratory instruction for students enrolled in upper division, BSN program while participating in program evaluation and development playing a vital part in shaping future healthcare professionals through innovative teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activities.
Responsibilities:
Teach assigned courses delivering engaging lectures and clinical instruction across various health science courses. Plan, implement, and evaluate instructional activities in selected nursing courses. Collaborate with other Nursing and Health Professions faculty in on-going program evaluation. Participate in curriculum implementation and evaluation. Serve on program and university committees. Participate in academic advisement, student recruitment and retention activities. Support mission and purposes of Langston University. Maintain program of professional development. Assume and effectively perform other duties as assigned by the dean or site coordinator.
Required Competency/Position Requirements:
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work well with others. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness. Ability to function autonomously and effectively in a demanding environment. Good attention to detail. Commitment to the philosophy and mission of Langston University. Required Education and/or
Experience:
Master's degree and licensed or eligible for license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma. Earned doctorate preferred. Two years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse. Two or mor years of teaching experience in a health professions specialty. Certified Nurse Educator credential preferred. Eligible or hold unrestrictive Oklahoma RN license. Ability to work cooperatively within a team structure. Required Position(s)

Licensed Registered Nurse. College or university faculty position.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
