This position is a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant/associate/full professor level for the VSCEB. The VSCEB is recruiting for multiple positions for multiple ranks depending on the qualifications (please refer to the required and preferred qualifications section below). The successful candidate is expected to establish a dynamic, externally funded, nationally recognized research program, teach core and elective undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical engineering, mentor a diverse group of students, perform professional service, and publish scholarly work. VSCEB is excited to welcome outstanding candidates working in experimental heterogeneous, homogeneous, or bioinspired catalysis who are eager to harness machine learning and artificial intelligence to tackle pressing challenges in energy, environment, bioeconomy, and health. Preference will be given to candidates working in research areas that strengthen our existing research programs such as catalysis, CO2 capture, plastic recycling, computational catalysis and electrocatalysis. Successful candidates are expected to build collaborations within the Voiland School and with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, other WSU departments, nationally and internationally.
