Job Description
Working/Functional Title Experiential Learning Lecturer-Fixed Term Position Summary Michigan State University actively promotes a dynamic research and learning environment in which qualified individuals of differing perspectives and cultural backgrounds pursue academic goals with mutual respect and shared inquiry. Michigan State University's A-CAPP Center has one opening for a part-time fixed term lecturer to prepare and deliver lectures, monitor online course assignments, and give student performance input for one 3-credit course, SSC490 - The Brand Protection Experience, in the fall and spring semesters each year. Searching for candidates with expertise or experience teaching in brand protection, intellectual property protection, and anti-counterfeiting in for its new experiential course. Duties include teaching an experiential education 3-credit course in a hybrid environment to undergraduate students during the academic year (fall and spring semester). This course will be offered in a hybrid format (1.5 hours per week on campus; remainder online) and consist of weekly lectures and guest speakers, online group mentorship, practical job skills development and online brand protection academic certificate course work. Required Degree Bachelors -Field related to brand protection Desired Degree Masters -Field related to brand protection Minimum Requirements Candidates must have a demonstrated record of experiential learning teaching and/or significant work experience in areas related to teaching assignment (brand protection, intellectual property protection, and anti-counterfeiting). Candidates must have the ability to teach at the undergraduate level in a hybrid environment with exceptional communication, presentation and engagement skills.
