The World of Engineering The focus of this course is to prepare freshman forsuccessful study in engineering and computer science. The course concentrates on developing an understanding of one's discipline, thecontributions that one's discipline makes to society, and the skills necessary for academic and career success in the field. ENGR 104

Fundamentals of Engineering, CS Software, Code, and Security This course helps build foundational skills in structuredproblem solving and modeling that are broadly applicable across engineering and computer science fields. The instructor will play a criticalrole in helping students transition into college-level STEM coursework while promoting student engagement, resilience, and curiosity. Coursedelivery includes lectures, labs, group work, and projects contextualized by real-world engineering problems. Collaboration with faculty inengineering and computing-related fields is expected to ensure that course content reflects current and emerging industryexpectations.
