Temporary Position Summary The Computer Science department is recruiting for an adjunct faculty to teach python for data science and deep learning upper division CS elective courses. Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule Adjunct Professor is typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment. Quarterly remuneration for 5-credit lecture class is $6,418.75 - $7,824.66 . Compensation is prorated based on type and duration of assignments. Individuals newly hired to Adjunct Professor group at the college are placed at the minimum rate per union bargaining agreement. Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment. All additional compensations are subject to change depending on funding and negotiated agreement.Generous https:

- Master's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency and expertise in one or more core areas of computer science, such as Data Structures, Algorithms, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Databases, Computer networks, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Data Science, full stack Web Development.
- Prior experience that shows working effectively and productively in a collaborative and diverse environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- Effective oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field.
- Prior experience in teaching computer science courses at the college level or relevant industry training.
- Practical experience in the computer science industry or involvement in relevant research projects.
- Experience designing and constructing effective learning activities.
- Evidence of efforts to improve student success in an open-enrollment institution.
