Aftercare Program Staff:

The learning continues everyday after school at BCA! Join or team of knowledgeable and caring staff to bring exploration past the classroom for students PK-4th Grade.

Start Date :

September 1st, 2021 (Orientation will be scheduled in August)

Schedule:

Flexible opportunities available

Part Time :

2:00-6:00

Monday-Friday Qualifications:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check. 2. Must be certified or obtaining certification in First Aid, CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens (within 90 days of employment). 3. Must have at least one year experience working with children. 4. Must be a leader, be able to relate well with children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with BCA's program and philosophy. 5. Completed Child Care Basics and will complete 10 hours of annual training per calendar year. (Pre-K only) 6. ECE Initial Certificate or equivalent preferred. (Pre-K only) 7. Have verification of a negative TB test. (Pre-K only)

Requirements:

1. Care, supervise, and monitor well being of children in your care 2. Prepare and plan daily activities 3. Communicate effectively with guardians, children, and colleagues 4. Engage with children and always use a warm and nurturing tone of voice 5. Maintain a professional environment at all times and represent BCA to company standards 6. Lead groups of children and manage efficient transitions 7. Keep a clean and organized program space at all times 8. Conduct closing duties. Wait with late pickup children 9. Adhere to Washington State sanitation guidelines for childcare programing
