Job Summary:
The Instructional Designer, Aesthetics Education is responsible for designing, structuring, and optimizing learning experiences, educational frameworks, and practical training resources across SkinCeuticals and skinbetter science. Reporting to the Vice President, Education, LDB Aesthetics, this role focuses on adult learning principles, curriculum architecture, and educational program design to ensure healthcare professionals and aesthetic practitioners engage with effective, well-structured professional development pathways. The ideal candidate applies pedagogical expertise to translate clinical and product information into logical, engaging, and impactful learning journeys and tools for diverse professional audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Dual-Brand Education Strategy & Curriculum Architecture Develop and execute an integrated education content strategy for both SkinCeuticals and skinbetter science, honoring each brand's distinct positioning and audience Build and manage a unified editorial calendar that spans product training, clinical education, treatment protocols, ingredient science, and skin health topics across both brands Identify synergies and efficiency opportunities between the two brand content libraries without compromising brand distinction Design and implement structured curriculum learning pathways that guide professional learners from foundational concepts to advanced clinical applications Produce content supporting professional education events Conduct training needs analyses to identify knowledge gaps and determine appropriate learning solutions Establish comprehensive educational frameworks, learning objectives, and progression models for professional audiences Content Creation & Production Develop a broad range of educational assets and practical tools across both brands, including: Product training guides and structured learning pathways Ingredient and formulation deep-dives (antioxidants, retinoids, peptides, SPF science, etc.) Clinical study summaries and efficacy data sheets for HCPs Treatment protocol content, regimen cards, and layering guides Presentation decks and leave-behinds Adapt content tone, complexity, and format to serve multiple audiences including dermatologists, plastic surgeons, aesthetic nurses, PAs, medical spas, aestheticians, and end consumers Performance Measurement & Evaluation Define and track learning and content KPIs tied to HCP engagement and training completion using standard evaluation frameworks Conduct regular audits of both brand content libraries to ensure clinical accuracy, freshness, and brand alignment Gather qualitative feedback from field teams, education managers, and professional partners to continuously elevate content quality
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, or a related field; esthetician license a plus 4+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or learning experience design, ideally within medical devices, pharma, aesthetics, or professional training environments Deep understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design models, and curriculum architecture Experience designing structured learning pathways and professional development programs Proficiency in English; additional languages a plus
