Special Education Teacher / Education Specialist (MMSN) Golden Echo Academy - Ontario, CA Golden Echo Academy is expanding our academic support programs and is developing a Special Education Academic Support / Nonpublic Agency (NPA) Program to serve students with IEPs in collaboration with local schools, districts, and SELPAs. We are looking for a qualified and compassionate California Credentialed Special Education Teacher / Education Specialist to join our team and play an important role in developing and delivering our special education academic support services. Competitive and based on credential, experience, and scope of services Responsibilities Provide individualized academic support to students with special education needs. Support students in achieving academic goals aligned with their IEPs. Provide specialized academic instruction and/or academic intervention within the scope of your credential. Review and understand students' IEP goals and accommodations. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate service documentation and progress notes. Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, school staff, and special education teams. Collaborate with Golden Echo Academy administration to develop appropriate academic support services. Participate in the development of our NPA program, policies, documentation, and service procedures. Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable special education and student privacy requirements. Complete required background clearance and other compliance requirements. Required Qualifications Valid California Education Specialist Credential or equivalent California credential appropriate for the services provided. Mild to Moderate Support Needs (MMSN) credential strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Special Education or a related field preferred. Experience working with students with IEPs and/or special education needs. Understanding of IEP goals, accommodations, progress monitoring, and special education services. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with families, educators, and service providers. Professional, patient, and student-centered approach. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience working in special education. Experience providing Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI). Experience working with school districts, SELPAs, or other special education service providers. Experience with IEP documentation and progress reporting. Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students. Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Chinese is a plus. Why Join Golden Echo Academy?
