•$39.70 / hour Summary Works closely with the Regional Laboratory Administrative Director, Regional Laboratory leadership, and the Laboratory Medical Director to ensure compliance with all accreditation and regulatory components of the Regional Laboratory. Effectively functions as a facilitator, change agent, and consultant. Works closely with Regional Laboratory leadership to ensure employees working in the Regional Laboratory are trained and competent to perform the job functions for which they are hired. Coordinates the Regional Laboratory's quality management program, collaborating with the System Laboratory Quality Specialist on quality functions and processes that span the Lee Health laboratory system. Identifies problems and opportunities for performance improvement and works with Regional Laboratory leadership to implement changes and monitor performance improvement. Promotes standardization of laboratory policies and procedures. Coordinates and maintains the Regional Laboratory's Document Control program. Maintains the Regional Laboratory's content on the Clinical Laboratory website. Participates as a member of the Regional Laboratory leadership team and collaborates with other leaders as a representative of the department.

Requirements Education:

Bachelors degree in medical technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related science required.

Experience:

Minimum of three years' clinical laboratory experience required; experience with quality management, regulatory compliance, or accreditation programs preferred.

Certification:

Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification, or equivalent from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) required.

License:

State of Florida Department of Health, Clinical Laboratory Supervisor required.

Other:

Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates and promotes teamwork, cooperation, and excellent customer service skills. Requires strong analytical skills, good time management skills, and the ability to solve problems.
