A Curriculum Specialist works in a public school district to coordinate curriculum. Works with teachers to develop curriculum that helps students learn effectively and meets state educational standards. Analyzes student assessment data, and chooses textbooks, educational materials, and new technologies to support teaching. May specialize in particular grade levels or subject areas, or education for specific groups of students such as English Language Learners.
Woburn Public Schools Interventionist (Part-Time) Elementary (Kindergarten - 5th Grade) The Elementary Interventionist will work with students in small group settings across Kindergarten through Grade 5, providing targeted academic support in alignment with the Massachusetts DESE curriculum. The Interventionist will support students performing below grade level in reading, mathematics, and other core content areas. This role collaborates closely with classroom teachers, administrators, content and reading specialists, and support staff to deliver research-based interventions and monitor student progress with the ultimate goal of improving academic outcomes.
Reports To:
Principal and/or Curriculum Coordinator.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong instructional and classroom management skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families Proficiency in using student data systems and technology-based instructional tools
Hours:
19 hours per week, maximum (38 weeks) - Exact schedule to be determined by the building principal based on the needs of the students.
Pay Rate:
$30.00 an hour to be paid bi-weekly.
Schedule:
September 14, 2026 through June 4, 2026.
