POSITION
Certified K-12 Instructional Strategies Coach (Time-Limited Position)
LOCATION
Curriculum, Instruction, and Accountability SALARY:
$35.00/Hour (Not to exceed 35 hours/month)
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT
Available August 2026 - June 1, 2027 (Part-time/Temporary, No Benefits)

Chief Academic Officer
JOB SUMMARY
The part time K-12 Instructional Strategies Coach drives student achievement by coaching teachers across all grade bands in specialized instructional frameworks aligned to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (NCSCOS). This role focuses on modeling and integrating inclusive instructional strategies and practices across designated K-12 classrooms in alignment with the NCSCOS. This instructional coach designs professional development centered on engaging instructional strategies, effective classroom management, and student organization to ensure access and rigorous curriculum delivery for all K-12 learners.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Experience :
Minimum of 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience.
Leadership Experience :
Required prior experience as a successful teacher leader, department chair, or curriculum coach. Proven track record of delivering effective adult professional development and expert classroom management skills. Experience in working with low performing schools and subgroups.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Design and facilitate school-wide professional development focused on highly engaging, evidence-based instructional strategies. Support cross-grade Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) focused on data-driven instruction and vertical curriculum alignment. Coach novice and veteran teachers on establishing effective classroom management routines that maximize active student participation to minimize behavioral disruptions. Help teachers design flexible, well-organized learning environments aligned with high impact instructional strategies. Model co-teaching models, high-engagement lesson delivery, and scaffolding techniques Co-plan lessons to ensure clear language and content objectives that engage diverse student populations. Support the facilitation and professional development of highly effective instructional strategies. Align instructional strategies directly with the
