Part-time / Contract initially, with potential for expanded or full-time role as the school launches AVANI Institute of Electrology is a new electrology school currently in development in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our goal is to expand access to high-quality professional education in electrology and permanent hair removal throughout New Mexico and the Southwest. We are seeking an experienced electrologist to join us during the development and launch of the Institute. This opportunity may be a fit for an electrologist who is already licensed as an instructor, an experienced practitioner who is eligible and willing to pursue New Mexico instructor licensure, or an experienced out-of-state electrologist interested in obtaining the appropriate New Mexico credentials. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to help shape a new electrology education program from the ground up and may assist with curriculum development, practical training standards, student instruction, and supervised clinical education.

Responsibilities may include:

Provide theory and hands-on electrology instruction once the school is approved and operational Supervise students during practical and clinical training Assist with development and review of the school's 600-hour electrology curriculum Help establish practical competencies, clinical procedures, and professional standards Maintain appropriate student supervision and educational documentation Collaborate with school leadership during program development and regulatory approval Support a professional, safety-focused learning environment We would especially like to hear from candidates who: Are currently licensed or experienced in electrology Have significant hands-on electrology experience Have previous teaching, training, mentoring, or supervisory experience Hold an electrology instructor license OR are willing to pursue New Mexico instructor licensure Are willing to pursue New Mexico electrologist licensure if currently licensed in another state Are interested in helping build and shape a new electrology education program Prior school ownership, curriculum development, board involvement, professional association leadership, or formal electrology teaching experience is a plus, but not required.

Compensation:

Competitive and negotiable based on experience, credentials, availability, and level of involvement.
