The primary goal of this position is to support the long-term delivery of reliable, safe, and sustainable drinking water by public water systems in New Mexico. This position will be responsible for providing outreach and support to public water systems to promote regional collaboration. The position will assist in conducting water and sewer rate surveys. This position will collaborate with the Resiliency Team and other teams to develop criteria, and conduct needs assessments to evaluate community drinking water systems vulnerability to support improved compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act. Finally, this position will work with Mutual Domestic Water Consumer Associations (MDWCAs) and technical assistance partners on board training and compliance with the Sanitary Projects Act and other regulatory requirements by providing technical assistance through work plan development.
