Foster Care Education Specialist Kind to Kids Foundation is hiring a UGrad Education Specialist to join UGrad Academy, our statewide educational support program for children and youth in foster care. You will manage a caseload of approximately 15 students, with some flexibility depending on student age and service needs , across New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties. You will meet with students at schools, homes, and in the community and work as part of each student's team — including teachers, school counselors, Division of Family Services caseworkers, caregivers, and CASA volunteers — to identify educational barriers and put practical solutions in place.
The goal is measurable:
school stability, improved attendance and academic performance, grade promotion, and on-time graduation. This is relationship-based, long-term work. Specialists stay connected with students across school years and placement changes, allowing them to know their students well and see the impact of their work over time. UGrad Academy has been independently evaluated by researchers at Cornell University, with findings published in a peer-reviewed journal demonstrating strong educational outcomes for participating students.
