Summary:
The Curriculum Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating effective training programs that support organizational goals and compliance requirements. This role collaborates with subject matter experts and trainers to create engaging learning solutions, including lesson plans, e-learning modules, and job aids. The Curriculum Developer conducts needs assessments, updates training materials for accuracy and impact, and ensures that all training aligns with industry standards and company policies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and develop training curricula, lesson plans, e-learning modules, and job aids using instructional design best practices. Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and recommend effective learning solutions. Evaluate training program effectiveness and update materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and measurable impact. Ensure training programs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal company policies. Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate technical or role-specific knowledge into accessible training content. Manage multiple training projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.Requirements:
Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design models such as ADDIE or SAM. Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, or similar). Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills. Ability to analyze data and apply insights to improve training effectiveness. High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field required. 3-5 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or a related role. Experience working cross-functionally with technical teams, operations, or compliance groups preferred. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and training evaluation models such as Kirkpatrick is a plus.Work Environment:
Office-based or hybrid setting with standard business hours. May require extended periods of computer use and virtual collaboration. Candidates who accept an offer of employment are required to undergo and successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination. This exam ensures that all potential employees meet the necessary health and fitness standards for the role. The examination includes a series of tests and evaluations conducted by a certified medical professional to assess overall physical health, identify any potential medical conditions that could interfere with job performance, and verify that the candidate is capable of safely performing the essential duties of the position.
