Job Description

Pre-Professional Ballet Instructor (Part-Time) Pryntsev Ballet Academy is a dedicated ballet academy in Laguna Hills, CA, that nurtures students' technique, artistry, and love for dance. Our pre-professional program trains competitive dancers ages 8-15+ through classical ballet rooted in the Vaganova method. We are seeking an experienced Ballet Instructor to join our teaching team for the 2026-27 season beginning in late August. Schedule TBD Responsibilities Teach structured classical ballet classes including barre, center, adagio, allegro, and across-the-floor combinations for pre-professional students (Levels 3-4) Instruct pointe technique classes Lead rehearsal sessions for performances and competitions as needed Provide individual corrections and foster each student's technical growth Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress Maintain accurate attendance records Collaborate with the artistic director and studio staff on programming, recitals, and competitions Qualifications Degree in dance or ballet, OR professional performance experience with a ballet company Strong foundation in classical ballet technique — Vaganova method strongly preferred Experience teaching pointe classes Previous experience working with students ages 8-15 in a pre-professional or competitive setting High energy, positive attitude, and a genuine passion for developing young dancers Preferred Experience coaching competitive solo and group variations Ability to teach character dance Experience choreographing for showcases or competitions To Apply Please email your resume to pr@pbadance.com.
