Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, safety-conscious Ballet and Pointe Instructor for a unique, small-group class comprising students ages preteen to adult. Because this class has a limited enrollment and a wide age span, the ideal candidate must excel at personalized alignment correction, differentiated instruction, and fostering a supportive, non-competitive community environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach classical ballet technique and pointe work safely to a mixed-age group (pre-teens through adults). Deliver highly individualized corrections and modifications to fit each dancer's anatomical needs and skill level. Structure classes that challenge advancing teenagers while remaining engaging and safe for adult bodies. Maintain a clean, professional, and encouraging studio environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of ballet and pointe teaching experience required. Recognized ballet pedagogy certification (e.g., ABT NTC, RAD, Cecchetti) or professional company experience is highly preferred. Deep understanding of pointe readiness, foot/ankle anatomy, and injury prevention. Excellent communication skills and a passion for mentoring small cohorts.
Pay:
$25.00 - $45.00 per hour
