NV Dance Company is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and dependable Ballet Instructor to join our teaching staff for the 2026-2027 dance season. Commitment from September-June. We are looking for an instructor with a strong background in classical ballet who is passionate about developing dancers through proper technique, terminology, alignment, strength, and artistry. Our ideal candidate creates a positive and encouraging classroom environment while maintaining high standards for training. Responsibilities Teach ballet classes for recreational and/or competitive dancers Provide age-appropriate instruction in ballet technique and terminology Develop dancers' strength, flexibility, musicality, placement, and artistry Plan organized and engaging weekly classes Provide corrections and individual feedback in a positive and productive manner Prepare choreography for our annual recital as needed Maintain a professional, encouraging, and structured classroom Communicate effectively with NVDC directors, staff, dancers, and families Serve as a positive role model for our dancers Qualifications Strong training and technical knowledge in classical ballet Previous ballet teaching experience preferred Experience working with children and teens Ability to teach multiple ages and skill levels Strong classroom management and communication skills Dependable, professional, positive, and prepared Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team Competitive dance or professional performance experience is a plus About NV Dance Company NV Dance Company is a growing dance studio in Napa, California offering both recreational and competitive dance programs.
