Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to add into our Community Education schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles ( Preferrably Salsa and/or Caribbean ) and a commitment to fostering a love of dance in students of all ages. This role involves teaching dance classes, developing engaging lesson plans, and creating a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression. Duties Design and implement engaging dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Conduct dance classes that promote physical fitness, coordination, and artistic expression. Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students. Provide individualized attention to students, offering tutoring and guidance to help them improve their skills. Collaborate with other instructors to plan special events, performances, or showcases that highlight student achievements. Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and any concerns related to behavior or performance. Stay updated on the latest trends in dance education and incorporate new techniques into lesson planning. Skills Strong background in dance , particularly in styles such as Salsa and Caribbean. Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning for diverse age groups, including children and adults. Proficient in classroom management techniques that foster a positive learning atmosphere. Ability to engage and communicate with students in a positive way.
