Miramar, FL Pay:
$20-$35/hour, based on experience and class size
Hours:
2-10 hours/week, based on enrollment, programming, and seasonal needs BE Dance Studios is a mission-driven dance school in Miramar, Florida, dedicated to outstanding dance education, artist development, meaningful community, and remarkable performance work. We create a safe, affirming space for dancers, artists, and families of color while remaining a welcoming resource for all. About the Role A BE Dance Educator is an artist, educator, mentor, and steward of the BE Dance mission. You'll do more than teach combinations — you'll help students connect with what moves them by cultivating curiosity, confidence, discipline, creativity, and community through movement. This role combines classroom instruction with collaboration, artistic contribution, and ongoing professional growth. What You'll Do Plan and teach engaging, developmentally appropriate dance classes aligned with the BE Dance curriculum Build technical proficiency alongside creativity and artistic expression Foster a safe, welcoming, inclusive classroom for students of varying developmental needs Incorporate age-appropriate historical, cultural, and artistic context into instruction Support student goal-setting, growth, and participate in evaluations when requested Contribute creative ideas during artistic planning and teach assigned choreography Support rehearsals, performances, and studio productions Collaborate with fellow educators through faculty meetings and Teaching Lab sessions Participate in one or more organizational stewardship areas over time (e.g., Educational Design, Student Development, Faculty Development, Production Readiness) What We're Looking For Strong technical training in one or more dance disciplines Experience teaching children and/or adults Excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred:
Degree or professional training in dance or dance education Experience with curriculum-based instruction Choreographic experience Experience preparing students for performances CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
