Job Description
Jax City Ballet School is seeking a talented and inspiring Contemporary Dance Instructor to join our faculty! We are looking for an experienced teacher who is passionate about movement, artistry, and technical excellence, and who enjoys working with dedicated ballet students in a professional training environment. Position Details Part-time Flexible schedule Competitive pay (based on experience) Opportunity to grow with our expanding professional ballet program Qualifications Professional training and/or performance experience in contemporary dance Previous teaching experience with children and teens Strong understanding of technique, musicality, improvisation, and choreography Experience working with ballet dancers is highly preferred Positive, professional, and motivating teaching style Responsibilities Teach contemporary dance classes for professional students and children ballet program Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that build technique, creativity, and artistic expression Choreograph routines for YAGP, UBC and other ballet competitions Foster a positive, disciplined, and supportive learning environment Collaborate with our ballet faculty to complement students' classical training If you are passionate about contemporary dance and want to inspire the next generation of artists, we'd love to hear from you!
