Job Description
We are seeking a Part-Time Ballet Instructor for Monday and/or Thursday classes to join our small, performance-driven competitive dance company. We are looking for an instructor with a strong ballet background who can provide quality technique training in a positive, focused environment. Ballet is our primary need; however, the ability to teach additional genres such as jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, musical theatre, or hip hop is a plus and may provide opportunities for additional classes. Our company places a strong emphasis on technique, musicality, performance quality, and continued growth. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young dancers and can bring both strong training and positive energy into the classroom. What We're Looking For Strong technical background in ballet Previous dance teaching experience preferred Ability to work with dancers of varying ages and skill levels Ability to provide clear corrections and individual feedback Reliable, professional, and comfortable working collaboratively Competitive dance experience preferred Experience teaching additional dance genres is a plus College dance students with a strong technical background are encouraged to apply Responsibilities Teach ballet/technique classes Provide age-appropriate instruction with an emphasis on proper technique Encourage musicality, artistry, confidence, and performance quality Maintain a positive, supportive, and disciplined classroom environment Communicate and collaborate with the Artistic Director and other instructors Position Details Part-time, approximately 3-6 hours per week Monday and/or Thursday availability Additional teaching opportunities may be available based on experience and genres taught Compensation is based on training, teaching experience, and ability to teach additional genres To Apply Please include your dance training, dance education, and teaching experience on your resume.
