Lōkahi Dance Studio | Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Lōkahi Dance Studio is looking for a passionate, dependable, and enthusiastic dance teacher to join our teaching team for the 2026-2027 season! We are seeking someone with strong training and teaching experience primarily in Ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop who loves working with children and creating a positive, encouraging classroom environment. We are a non-competitive dance studio focused on helping students grow in confidence, creativity, technique, and a genuine love of dance. The Role The ideal candidate will: Have strong dance training in Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop Enjoy teaching young children through teens Create fun, engaging, and age-appropriate classes Teach foundational technique while encouraging creativity and self-expression Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Be reliable, organized, and professional Communicate effectively with studio leadership, students, and families Be comfortable preparing students for an end-of-season performance Qualifications Dance training and/or teaching experience in Ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop Previous teaching experience preferred Experience working with children preferred Strong classroom management skills Ability to adapt instruction to different ages and ability levels Positive attitude and a genuine passion for teaching We are especially interested in candidates who are well-rounded dancers and may also have experience in other styles such as Modern, Contemporary, or Acro.
