Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Teacher to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and experience working with students of various ages, including preschoolers through high school. This role requires creativity in lesson planning, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. If you have a love for dance and a desire to inspire others through movement, we would love to hear from you. Duties Develop and implement engaging dance lessons tailored to the skill levels and interests of students. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and teamwork. Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure all students are participating and learning. Provide constructive feedback to students on their performance and progress. Collaborate with other instructors to create a cohesive curriculum that meets educational standards. Organize and participate in dance performances, recitals, or showcases to highlight student achievements. Maintain communication with director regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise. Skills Experience working with students across various age groups, particularly ages 3-15. Strong lesson planning abilities that cater to different learning styles. Proficiency in classroom management techniques to maintain an effective learning environment. Background in special education is a plus, enabling the instructor to support diverse learners. Knowledge of curriculum development for dance education is advantageous. Photography skills are beneficial for documenting student performances and events. A passion for educating others about dance while fostering an appreciation for the art form.
