Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Aqua Instructor to join our outstanding fitness team. As part of our fitness team, our instructors inspire members through exercise, positivity, social connections, community, and individual attention to live healthy lives. Class time is Mondays 5:30pm.
Position Requirements:
  • Experience teaching multiple formats.
  • Possess the ability to provide multisensory instruction through mastered verbal cues and visual demonstration.
  • Must be able to plan multiple creative classes for constant variety for the members.
  • Able to understand the desires and needs of each class and modify accordingly.
  • Provide an appropriate atmosphere with music selection.
  • Maintain and grow class sizes to the expectations of the facility.
  • Have a true passion and energy for health and fitness.
Education and Experience:
1. High School diploma or GED equivalent. 2. Group Exercise Instructor National Certification, Aqua Instructor Certification 3. Minimum of two years teaching experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Ability to train and motivate clients. 2. Work with supervisor and co-workers to help grow clientele. 3. Provide a high level of customer service to our members. 4. Communicate effectively with co-workers and members. 5. Must be punctual. Begin and end all classes at their scheduled time. Physical Demands/Work Environment 1. Must be physically capable to train clients
Wage:
$25 - $50, depending on certification and experience
Benefits:
Free Fitness Center pass for employees who work 8 hours or more per week, along with other discounts towards Park District programs.
