About Us:
At Leading Edge Academy of Dance (L.E.A.D.) , we are more than just a dance studio—we are a community dedicated to fostering confidence, creativity, and a love for the performing arts. We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Preschool Dance Instructor to join our team! If you love working with young children, have a strong dance background, and enjoy fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, this position is perfect for you!
Job Responsibilities:
Lead engaging and developmentally appropriate dance classes for children ages 2-7 in styles such as Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, and Introductory Jazz . Create a nurturing and fun learning atmosphere that fosters a love of dance while developing foundational skills in rhythm, coordination, and musicality. Implement lesson plans that align with L.E.A.D.'s curriculum and teaching philosophy. Encourage self-expression, creativity, and confidence in young dancers. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and class expectations. Assist with studio events, performances, and recitals. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that adheres to studio policies.
Qualifications:
Experience teaching dance to young children in a structured setting. Experience in ballet, jazz, tap or creative movement . Background in early childhood education or child development is a plus . Positive, energetic, and patient personality. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as required for class schedules.
