Job Description
A Tippi Toes® Dance Instructor leads children's dance classes and must have a love of children, an interest in being a part of early childhood activities, and be highly confident in teaching young students. Responsibilities include traveling to dance locations, preparing for classes, teaching curriculum, and developing a positive rapport with all students as well as school staff. Salary range $24 - $28 per class with flexible class scheduling, afterschool and weekend hours available and an empowering work environment with opportunity to advance. All Tippi Toes® staff members have an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young children.
Position Responsibilities:
- Reviews assigned curriculum and practices lesson plans prior to class (no choreography creation involved in this position)
- Follows all Tippi Toes® curriculum, playlists, and lesson plans
- Comes to each class in proper dress code, and allows appropriate time for set up
- Teaches each class with enthusiasm and positivity that encourages studentparticipation, interaction, and fun
- Communicates regularly with school staff.
- Works with School Director to regularly add new students to current and future classes, maximizing attendance levels.
- Daily/weekly communication with Franchise owner regarding all pertinent class/student information
- Collaborates regularly with fellow Tippi Toes teachers
Position Requirements:
- A background of working or teaching with children, or a desire of doing it
- Tenacity and self-motivation: high energy level, self-starter with a positive attitude
- Ability to communicate appropriately with children as well as school staff
- Upholds company brand mission, vision, and values through actions and interactions
- Performance background is a plus (dance, theatre, cheer, etc.)
- Must have a current driver's license and access to a car
- Must be willing to go through a background check
