Job Description

The City of O'Fallon is looking for energetic and dependable team members for the position of Dance Instructor . Are you looking for a part-time opportunity where you can use your dance know-how and skills in decision making, problem solving and dealing with the public? Our Dance Instructors enjoy a flexible schedule along with a fun work environment and earn competitive pay with an expected starting rate of pay of $21.00 hourly. As part of our Recreation Department, this position plays an important role in providing dance instruction to groups and individuals. Generally, you'll teach a few classes each week, including helping out when a substitute teacher is needed. As a Dance Instructor, your duties and responsibilities will include: Setting up facilities for programs, events, games, and activities Providing information and top notice customer service to patrons Researching and proposing new programs, as well as providing input on improving existing ones Developing program curriculum and schedules We're looking for someone who is knowledgeable in dance elements and skills, including acrobats and tumbling. This person should be comfortable leading a group and teaching individuals. Availability to work evenings during class times is required. Could this be the opportunity for you?
