Dance Teacher

Overview Fiat School of Fine Arts in Schuyler, NE is looking for dance teachers starting Fall of 2026 for the 26-27 season! We are seeking enthusiastic and dynamic Dance Teachers to inspire students of all ages and skill levels through the art of dance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster creativity, physical development, and confidence in learners by delivering engaging, well-structured dance instruction. Whether working with children, teenagers, or adults, you will play a vital role in cultivating a love for movement and performance. Responsibilities tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating various styles such as ballet, theater dance, and contemporary movements. Lead engaging and energetic dance classes that motivate students to improve technique, coordination, and expression. Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students. Plan lessons that align with educational standards while fostering creativity and enjoyment in dance activities. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them progress and achieve their personal goals. Organize performances or showcases that allow students to demonstrate their skills and celebrate their achievements. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or other educators to support student development and address individual needs. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching dance across diverse age groups, including early childhood education or preschool experience. Strong knowledge of various dance styles such as tap, jazz, hip hop and ballet. Ability to do lesson planning, choreography, and performance preparation. Excellent classroom management skills with a focus on behavior management and creating a positive learning atmosphere.
