Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dance Instructor to inspire students of all ages to discover the joy of movement and self-expression through dance. In this dynamic role, you will develop engaging curricula, lead classes, and foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and confidence. Your expertise in various dance styles and ability to connect with students will help cultivate a love for the arts while promoting physical fitness and artistic growth. Duties Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating elements of choreography, technique, and performance skills Lead engaging dance classes that motivate students, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their technique and performance skills in various dance styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, or hip-hop Collaborate with other arts educators to integrate dance with visual arts, theater, or music components when applicable Organize rehearsals and assist students in preparing for performances or showcases Maintain accurate attendance records, lesson plans, and progress reports for each student Skills Extensive experience in dance instruction across multiple styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, or hip-hop Strong technique Strong background in choreography and lesson planning tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively while maintaining a positive learning atmosphere Experience working with children and youth programs, understanding childhood development and behavior management techniques Familiarity with theater production processes and stage performance preparation a plus
