Job Description

Highsteppers Dance Studio, a non-profit competitive youth dance organization located in the Mt. Healthy area of Cincinnati, is seeking a passionate, technical, and reliable Part-Time Ballet Technique Instructor for the upcoming 2026-2027 season (starting August/September 2026). This is a secure, consistent instructional role with excellent long-term growth potential within our faculty. Celebrating 27 years of community excellence, our studio fosters a disciplined, empowering environment for youth teams. Because our dancers focus heavily on high-energy competitive styles, including jazz, hip-hop, pom, contemporary, and musical production, this role focuses strictly on pure classical ballet technique, clean lines, core essentials, and alignment. To make this position highly sustainable for busy professionals, performers, or advanced students, no recital or competition choreography is required. We are seeking an educator dedicated entirely to building foundational growth and technical muscle memory in our competitive 1st through 12th-grade dancers. BFA or BA in Dance, Arts Education, or equivalent professional training / performance background. Strong background in classical ballet training and technique. Experience instructing youth dancers (grades 1-12) or a strong desire to teach foundational technique. Reliable, professional, and capable of maintaining a structured, disciplined, and empowering classroom environment. Ideal for local dance professionals, graduating university seniors, or alumni seeking a steady teaching role that fits around a performance or rehearsal schedule.
