Full Job Description Part-Time Dance Teacher Pay:
$10-$25 per hour, based on experience, training, assigned classes, and responsibilities
Schedule:
Weekday afternoons and evenings

North Augusta, SC Anticipated start: 2026-2027 season beginning August 3 Job Summary Tip Toes and Taps is seeking positive, dependable, and experienced dance teachers to join our studio family for the 2026-2027 season. Proudly serving the North Augusta community since 1981, Tip Toes and Taps provides family-oriented, age-appropriate instruction to students ages 2 and older. We are looking for teachers who combine strong technical knowledge with patience, creativity, professionalism, and a genuine love for working with children. We are currently seeking instructors with training and teaching experience in one or more of the following: Ballet Tap Jazz Hip hop Lyrical/contemporary Musical theatre Cheer POM Responsibilities Prepare and teach organized, age-appropriate lessons for assigned classes Create a positive, encouraging, and well-managed classroom environment Select appropriate music and costumes for assigned recital classes Choreograph and teach performance routines Monitor student development and complete progress reports twice annually Communicate professionally with students, families, and team members Perform assigned opening or closing duties, including classroom setup and light cleaning Attend quarterly employee meetings Attend required studio events, including recital week Provide substitute coverage when available and needed Follow studio curriculum, policies, safety practices, and expectations Qualifications Relevant dance training and teaching experience Knowledge of proper technique in the styles being taught Experience teaching children, including young students Positive, patient, dependable, and team-oriented Strong classroom-management and communication skills Weekday afternoon and evening availability Ability to prepare lessons, select age-appropriate material, and meet deadlines Willingness to complete a required background check Hours vary according to employee availability, class enrollment, and studio needs. The studio operates Monday through Friday, with classes scheduled between approximately 3:00 and 9:15 p.m. Additional hours may occasionally be available for substitute teaching.
