Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Tap Dance Teacher to inspire students of all ages through the art of tap dancing. In this role, you will lead engaging dance classes, develop creative curricula, and foster a positive learning environment that encourages artistic expression and technical mastery. Your enthusiasm for dance and dedication to student growth will help cultivate confidence, coordination, and a love for performing arts. Responsibilities Design and implement dynamic tap dance curricula tailored to various skill levels and age groups Lead engaging dance classes that emphasize rhythm, technique, choreography, and musicality Foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes creativity, discipline, and teamwork Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe and respectful space for all students Prepare students for performances, showcases, or recitals by guiding rehearsals and choreography development Collaborate with other arts instructors to integrate tap dance with broader performing arts programs Maintain detailed lesson plans, progress reports, and attendance records to monitor student development Requirements Proven experience learning Tap Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage diverse learners Experience working with children and youth dance Background in visual & performing arts, choreography, or dance instruction preferred Familiarity with theater arts, performance techniques, or stage presence training Ability to create inclusive lesson plans that cater to early childhood education Excellent communication skills and a passion for inspiring students through creative arts instruction Additional skills such as Musical Theatre and Jazz Dance Must be able to teach every Tuesday at 4:45pm-5:30pm, from August 18th, 2026-June 5th, 2027 Join us as a Tap Dance Teacher and bring your vibrant energy and expertise to our community!
