Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant dance education team as a Children's Dance Instructor, where your passion for dance and creativity will inspire young learners to explore the joy of movement! In this dynamic role, you will design engaging dance curricula, foster a positive classroom environment, and nurture each child's artistic development. Your energetic approach will motivate children to express themselves through dance while making every class an exciting journey of discovery and growth. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate dance lesson plans that incorporate various styles such as ballet fundamentals and creative movement Lead energetic dance classes for children of preschool age, ensuring a fun and inclusive atmosphere Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment Incorporate elements of choreography, imagery, props, and improvisation into lessons to enrich students' artistic experiences Assess each child's progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement and confidence Assist in coordinating performances or showcases that allow children to demonstrate their skills and celebrate their achievements Collaborate with Owner and fellow instructors to support students' artistic development and address individual needs Experience Proven experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings, especially in dance programs Must have dance background & performing arts, including choreography and dance instruction Knowledge of curriculum development tailored for early childhood education or preschool-aged learners for dance Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies for young students
