Certified Acro Dance Instructor Edge Dance & Performing Arts Center/ Twinkle Star Dance Academy Plano Plano, TX Job Details Part-time | Contract $25 - $35 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Dance instruction Dance coaching experience First Aid Certification Classroom Teaching Choreography Full Job Description Edge Dance & Performing Arts Center is seeking a passionate and experienced Certified Acro Dance Instructor to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 season. We're looking for an instructor who is committed to teaching proper technique, safe skill progressions, and building confident, well-rounded dancers in a positive and encouraging environment. Responsibilities Teach weekly Acro classes for recreational and competitive dancers. Utilize proper spotting techniques and follow safe Acro progressions. Create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans. Evaluate student progress and advance skills safely. Foster a positive, energetic, and professional classroom culture. Collaborate with studio leadership and fellow instructors. Participate in recitals and other studio events as needed. Qualifications Current Acrobatic Arts Certification (or equivalent recognized certification) preferred. Previous Acro teaching experience required. Strong knowledge of flexibility, conditioning, and injury prevention. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Reliable, organized, and professional. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. Schedule Part-time Weekday evenings Occasional Saturday mornings Additional opportunities for private lessons and choreography may be available.
