The Dance Instructor will play a pivotal role in nurturing talent, promoting creativity, and ensuring a positive learning environment. Duties Design and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the skill levels and interests of students. Teach various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, or contemporary, to children and adults. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters growth and confidence. Organize and prepare students for performances, recitals, or competitions as needed. Collaborate with other instructors to develop curriculum that meets educational standards. Engage with parents regarding student progress and any concerns related to their development. Stay updated on current trends in dance education and incorporate innovative techniques into lessons. Requirements Proven experience in dance instruction or related fields such as childhood development or adult education. Strong skills in lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse age groups. Experience working with children, particularly in preschool settings or through tutoring roles. Knowledge of theater arts is a plus, enhancing the performance aspect of dance instruction. Ability to engage students through creative teaching methods while maintaining discipline. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. A background in photography is desirable for documenting performances and student progress.
