Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. About company Mari's Place for the Arts is a growing non-profit organization that provides arts and cultural programs to foster creativity and self-confidence in children and teens of families from all income levels and ethnic backgrounds. About role Our Instructors lead after-school dancing classes for elementary-aged students in local schools. Instructors will create a positive, welcoming environment where students can build confidence, explore their creativity, and have fun while learning new skills. Classes are typically held Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. We are looking for one dance instructor who can handle the classes held at various schools throughout the week. Classes are offered across four school districts: Everett school district Mukilteo school district Marysville school district Lake Stevens school district Our program runs for three quarters throughout the school year, with each class session lasting approximately one month. Responsibilities Lead engaging dancing activities for elementary-aged students Teach age-appropriate choreography, songs, and basic performance skills Create a fun, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Encourage all students to participate, build confidence, and express themselves creatively Communicate professionally with program staff and school partners Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience Experience working with children preferred Background or experience in dancing, music, theater, or performing arts preferred Comfortable leading groups of elementary-aged students Compensation and Schedule $20.00/hour part time contract position classes typically run between 3:30 PM to 5:00
