iLEARN Education is seeking an experienced English Department Director to lead our English academic programs and teaching team. This is a hands-on academic leadership position. The Director will oversee curriculum and instructional quality, manage and support teachers, and also teach English and Test Prep classes as needed. We are looking for an experienced educator who understands both strong classroom instruction and academic program management . Responsibilities Lead and manage the English teaching team Oversee curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional standards Teach English classes across Reading, Writing, Literature, and related areas Teach and/or oversee Test Prep programs such as SAT, ISEE, SSAT, and HSPT Observe classes and provide coaching, feedback, and training to teachers Monitor student progress and overall instructional quality Develop and improve curriculum, teaching materials, assessments, and academic standards Support the hiring, onboarding, and development of English teachers Work with the management and operations teams to ensure programs run effectively Help develop new courses and improve existing academic programs Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Education, or a related field Strong experience teaching English at the Middle and/or High School level Strong knowledge of Reading and Writing instruction Experience with curriculum development and instructional planning Experience leading, mentoring, or managing teachers Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to teach different levels and types of English courses Organized, responsible, and able to balance teaching and academic leadership responsibilities Preferred Qualifications Current or previous teaching experience at a U.S. Middle or High School California teaching credential Experience teaching

SAT, ISEE, SSAT, HSPT, AP

English, or other Test Prep courses Experience as a Department Chair, Academic Director, Instructional Coach, Lead Teacher, or similar leadership role Experience developing curriculum, assessments, or teacher training programs Familiarity with both traditional school and supplemental education environments What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is not only a strong English teacher, but also someone who can lead teachers, improve curriculum, maintain academic standards, and take ownership of the overall quality of the English department . Pay:

$70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
