Job Description

Overview Part-time or Full-time, Monday-Friday Approximately 12:00-5:00 PM Beacon Montessori is a warm Montessori school in Weston serving children from infancy through age six. We are looking for an experienced early childhood educator to join our Primary classroom, working with children ages 3 to 6 during the afternoon portion of their school day. We would be especially excited to meet someone with a background in speech and language development, communication sciences, theater, or diction training, or a related field. This is not a clinical speech therapy position. We see that experience as an additional strength that could bring a lot to an early childhood classroom. About the role Our afternoons include individual and small-group work, lunch and transitions, outdoor time, classroom activities, and our afterschool program. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being with young children and notices them as individuals. Someone who can be warm and patient while also providing clear, calm structure. You would work closely with an experienced Montessori team in a small classroom environment where teachers have the time and support to really know their students. We would love to meet someone who Has experience working with preschool or early elementary-age children Enjoys building close, respectful relationships with children Is attentive to children's language, communication, social, and emotional development Brings patience, kindness, reliability, and good judgment to the classroom Enjoys collaborating with other teachers and families Is interested in learning more about Montessori education
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
