Musical Theatre Instructor Musical Theater Minnesota LLC Minneapolis, MN Job Details Part-time From $30 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Working with students Dancing activities for children Teaching Working with youth Full Job Description We are looking for musical theater instructors who can also act as directors, choreographers, and vocal directors to create short no-budget musicals that will take place in different schools and community centers in the Twin Cities area (mainly in Minneapolis). We are especially looking for triple threats who can work with youth ages 6 to 14. Knowledge in singing, dancing and acting or at least two out of the three disciplines is a must. Students will write their own mini musical for an open class at the end of the program. Availability to work some days Mon-Thu from 3:20 pm to 5:50pm (most sessions run for 1.5 hours, some for 2.5 hours). Bilingual Spanish-English a plus, but not required. Since we are teachers who joined forces to create this company we have experienced many different ways of working. We know there are companies that have a very specific format and will supervise you constantly to make sure you follow all of their instructions. There are also companies that have you put on a show with absolutely no guidelines or help. We will try to give instructors guidelines to help them but will also give instructors freedom to create their class structure and will not limit their creativity. We want each instructor to bring his/her/their own personality and experience to the team!
