Minimum Requirements 21 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent Valid California driver's license Clean driving record Must meet all applicable California DMV requirements for a driving instructor Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to pass any required background checks and screening Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to work independently and maintain a professional attitude What We're Looking For Patient and calm when teaching new or nervous drivers Excellent communication and teaching skills Punctual, dependable, and committed to arriving on time Able to remain professional and positive in stressful situations Comfortable working with students of different ages, personalities, and skill levels Safety-focused and responsible while driving Friendly, respectful, and professional with students and families Willing to work independently and adapt to changing schedules Previous teaching or driving instruction experience is preferred Previous professional driving experience is a plus We are willing to train the right candidate who meets the required qualifications Key Responsibilities Provide professional behind-the-wheel driving instruction Teach safe and defensive driving techniques Prepare students for their California DMV driving test Adapt lessons to each student's skill level and learning style Maintain a calm, patient, and professional environment Prioritize the safety of the student, instructor, and vehicle Arrive on time and prepared for every scheduled lesson Provide constructive feedback and progress updates Maintain professional communication with students and families Follow company policies, DMV requirements, and safety procedures Keep the training vehicle clean and report maintenance or safety concerns Complete required lesson records and documentation What We Offer Flexible scheduling Opportunities for additional hours based on availability Supportive and professional work environment Training and guidance provided Opportunity to help students become safe and confident drivers Opportunity for continued work as our student base grows Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is patient, punctual, responsible, friendly, safety-conscious, and motivated.
