Qualifications Education and Experience:
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and four years bus driving experience.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
DMV Driver Record report (within the last 30 days)•
REQUIRED
when applying. Possession of a valid California Bus Driver Instructor Certificate. Valid unrestricted California driver's license with appropriate passenger and air brake endorsements. Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency.
Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Program:
All persons selected by a hiring supervisor are subject to pre-employment testing, and written verification of participation in prior drug testing programs.
Ability to:
Conduct classroom and behind-the-wheel classes for bus driver trainees and licensed Bus Drivers. Conduct field evaluations of Bus Driver proficiency. Monitor and control student passengers' behavior. Enforce rules to maintain safe passenger environment. Maintain vehicle in a clean and safe condition/ Maintain basic records. Perform first aid as required. Conduct bus evacuation training. Provide leadership to Bus Drivers. Operate a vehicle, observing legal and defensive driving practices. Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. • Full Time Equivalent Requirements /
