Technical Instructor for Construction Management Continuum Training (CMCT) School ELS is an employee-owned small business that provides professional and engineering support services to the U.S. Navy. Job summary:
Are you seeking an exciting new position supporting the Navy Seabee mission at the Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC) in Port Hueneme, California? ELS, Inc., a small, employee-owned business providing Program Management, Engineering, Field Engineering, Training, and Logistics Support services to the U.S. Navy for over 40 years, is looking for a CMCT Instructor. Courses include Crew Leader Course, Project Supervisor, Planning & Estimating and Construction Inspector course.
Description:
As a Construction Management Continuum Training Instructor, you will be laying the skills and knowledge foundation for future Seabees. Duties as an instructor can vary but typically will include the following:
  • Present material in accordance with approved lesson plans and course control documents.
  • Provide proper guidance to safely manipulate, position, or transport heavy material, tools, or equipment.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress in all classes taught, ensuring that students' level of competence is suitable for the required topic of instruction.
  • Prepare and administer formal and informal tests or quizzes for curriculum execution.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of courses and material covering a wide variety of topics in the designated curriculum.
  • Prepare daily lesson plans for assigned courses while working within the prescribed course phase framework.
  • Use computer programs to facilitate training, specifically the Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CETARS).
Work Location:
Naval Base Ventura County, NCTC, Port Hueneme, CA Requirements:
  • Current Secret Clearance or Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Experience equivalent to five (5) years teaching at a Military Training Center, specifically construction-related courses.
  • Possess a 9502 and/or an 805
