Behind-the-Wheel Driving Instructor Winter Park Driving Academy Lakeland, FL Job Details Full-time $23.00 - $23.50 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications School experience Working with students Ability to follow instructions Performing background checks Adult education Full Job Description Job Summary We require a highly motivated full time driving instructor in the Lakeland/Voluscia County area. We are looking to fill this position potentially estimated to start between July to September 2026 . This position could also require/include your Florida certification allowing you to administer the Drivers Road Test as well. Background check will be required. Being prompt, dependable, and clean driving record is a must. Previous teaching or driving instruction experience preferred. Responsibilities 5 Days a week availability with 2 to 3 Saturdays per month(negotiable) Demonstrate safe driving techniques, traffic laws, and best practices during practical sessions Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills Maintain a professional and encouraging demeanor to build trust and motivate learners Ensure all lessons adhere to local safety regulations and company policies Keep detailed records of each lesson's content, student performance, and areas for improvement Communicate effectively with students, parents, or guardians about progress and next steps Experience 3 Years experience as a driving instructor. Prior teaching or classroom management experience is highly desirable Strong communication skills to clearly convey instructions and feedback Experience working with students or adults in an educational setting preferred Ability to remain patient, adaptable, and positive in a dynamic learning environment Knowledge of adult education principles is a plus but not required
