A Driving Instructor is responsible for teaching students the rules of the road and the safe way to handle an automobile or motorcycle. This may involve both classroom and/or behind the wheel instruction. They are required to remain up to date with their regional and national traffic laws to insure proper curriculum and demonstration. Some inform their students on the process to obtain a valid driver's license in their region or nation.

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic After School Teacher & Driver to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring elementary-aged children, assisting with homework, leading engaging enrichment activities, and safely transporting students to our center. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Safely transport school-age children from local elementary schools to Start Bright Academy using a company vehicle. Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain a clean, safe transportation environment. Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of all children during transportation and throughout the after-school program. Assist children with homework and provide academic support in a positive and encouraging environment. Plan and lead engaging enrichment activities, including STEAM projects, arts and crafts, educational games, physical activities, and character-building lessons. Promote positive behavior, respect, teamwork, and social-emotional development. Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure proper child check-in/check-out procedures. Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities. Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Participate in staff meetings, required trainings, and professional development opportunities. Follow all Georgia Bright from the Start licensing regulations, company policies, and safety procedures. Assist with special events, field trips, and seasonal programs as needed. Be a positive role model who creates a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment for every child.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required). Experience working with school-age children is preferred. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Why Join Start Bright Academy?
