[$18-$25 per hour] About Us Drive On Time Driving School helps new drivers build the skills and confidence to be safe on the road for life. We're growing and looking for patient, dependable people to join our instructor team. No Experience? No Problem. You don't need to be a licensed instructor to apply. Our school is led by a certified instructor trainer, and we'll guide you through the full Maryland MVA instructor training and certification process. If you meet the requirements below and enjoy helping people learn, we'll help you get certified. What You'll Do Teach behind-the-wheel lessons to new and teen drivers, helping them build safe habits and pass their driving test Teach classroom driver education sessions covering traffic laws, defensive driving, and road safety Give clear, calm, encouraging feedback to nervous or first-time drivers Keep accurate student progress records as required by the MVA Represent the school professionally with students and parents Requirements At least 21 years old Valid driver's license held for at least 3 years Clean driving record No DUI or DWI convictions Clean criminal background (a background check and fingerprinting are required for MVA certification) High school diploma or equivalent (required by the MVA) Reliable, punctual, and professional What Makes a Great Instructor Patience and a calm, steady presence, especially in stressful moments Clear communication and the ability to explain things simply Genuine enjoyment of teaching and helping people succeed Availability on evenings and/or weekends is a strong plus English, Spanish, Haitian Creole speakers are encouraged to apply Licensed driving instructors are encouraged to apply What We Offer Training and support toward your Maryland driving instructor certification Flexible scheduling $18-$25/hr.
